Rosemary Hill (born 10 April 1957) is an English writer and historian. ==Life== She has published widely on 19th and 20th century cultural history, but she is best known for ''God's Architect'', her multi-award-winning biography of Augustus Pugin. Published in 2007, it won the Wolfson History Prize, the James Tait Black Memorial Prize,〔("List of James Tait Black Award Winners" ) University of Edinburgh website, accessed October 29, 2010〕〔shortlisted for Guardain Award but did not win see Guardian〕 the Elizabeth Longford Prize, and the Marsh Biography Award. Hill is a trustee of the Victorian Society, a contributing editor to the London Review of Books and is a quondam Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford.
